Bitrix24 As Free HRIS (Human Resources Information System) Software
HR departments, recruiting and staffing agencies are among the top Bitrix24 users, so this post will explain how to use Bitrix24 as your free human resources information system as well as inform you which premium HRIS features are available in the paid plans and the self-hosted version of Bitrix24.
The free plan supports up to 12 users and comes with the following basic HRIS functions: Searchable Employee Directory (employee phone directory, customizable profiles, search by skills and interests, and employee timeline), interactive Organizational Chart, Leave Management (absence chart, capability to create customizable leave request forms), Calendars (group or personal, private and shared, Android/iPhone support, synchronization with Google Calendars and Outlook), basic Knowledge Management (wikis), Employee Engagement Tools (likes, following, badges, employee birthdays),Document Management (private and shared documents, in-place editing, Google Docs and MS Office integration, versioning, Dropbox-like Bitrix24.Drive) and Employee Self Service Tools. The free plan is ideal for small companies and HR teams.
There are two paid plans for the cloud version of Bitrix24 – Standard ($99/mo) and Professional ($99). Both come with unlimited users with 50GB and 100GB of disk space respectively (additional disk space can be bought as needed for $50/mo per 100 GB). Besides lifting the number of users and providing additional disk space, Bitrix24 Standard allows you to add your company logo to your HRIS and work with extranet users (typically contactors, clients, vendors and consultant).
Bitrix24 Professional gives you access to records management tools, workflow integration and HR/Service Request form generator. It also unlocks a powerful eLearning and employee training module that allows you to create training courses and manuals and test employee knowledge as well as provides access toTime Management and Performance Assessment tools. Paid plans are best suited for companies with up to 500 employees that don’t require extensive integration of Bitrix24 with other tools.
The self-hosted version of Bitrix24 is different from the cloud editions for Bitrix24 in many respects. As the name implies, you can install it on your own server without having to pay for it every month. Because it comes with API and source code, you can integrate the self-hosted version of Bitrix24 with other HR tools you are using (payroll, for example). Multiple Division edition of Bitrix24 is available for companies with multiple offices/branches/departments that require having several independent and autonomous HRIS/intranets for each division. With the self-hosted version, you an also choose between social and classic look of your human resources information system (or run both).
To try the self-hosted version, please download free 30-day trial version (recommended if you have a strong IT background and skills) or ask one of our partners to demo it for you at your convenience (recommended if you are a busy HR professional).
